SCANDINAVIAN STYLE APARTMENT: FOR SHORT TERM RENTALS, Marbella, Spain, 2018

As a part of a privileged beach side secure community, this fabulous first floor apartment offers a south oriented balcony, ideal to enjoy the Spanish outdoor lifestyle. It has been fully renovated, furnished and decorated in a contemporary style with a Scandinavian touch with its main elements like light walls, big windows without curtains, bright accents in a textile and décor. The layout. The hall divides the apartment into two areas - a private area with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a communal area. The latter has an entrance, a living room, a kitchen and a balcony with a comfortable, lounge-style furniture from aluminium with colourful cushions. The master bedroom and the en-suite bathroom adjacent to it are also fenced off by a small corridor and a door from the guest bedroom and the bathroom. It creates a sense of a hotel suite and creates an additional privacy. In both bathrooms there is everything you need: bathroom, sink, bidet, and toilet. Bathrooms are made in neutral beige tones.
Function is an important characteristic of the Scandinavian style. There is more than enough storage space. In addition to the four built-in wardrobes for clothes and shoes, there is plenty of storage space for books, plates, glasses, and etc. The living room has a fold-out sofa, which creates an extra sleep possibility, a Rocking chair with wooden legs, white round coffee table in Scandinavian style and TV furniture. A large dining table in a living room is enough for 8 people.
My favourite technique. The balcony is separated from the living room by sliding floor-to ceiling glass doors. Not only do they visually enlarge the space and add light to it, but they also connect the interior with the exterior. The tree literally and figuratively flows inward.
The Parallel-shaped kitchen was the most effective in this small space. It creates a small pass-through to the balcony and locates all needed appliances and a lot of cabinets space. The windows are supplied with electric blinds providing full darkness at night. Multi-split air-conditioning system is installed. Absence of the curtains in all rooms is also inherent in the Scandinavian style. All the windows are supplied with electric blinds instead that provide complete darkness at night.

I needed to bring the park into the garden and “dissolve” the wall.
After we finished the photo shoot, a Chinese neighbour came with a bottle of Chinese wine. He raised his thumb and said “Hen hao”. Afterwards he asked “Can you do me the same?
